JOANNA LAAJISTO

Joanna Laajisto, the founder of Joanna Laajisto Creative Studio, is a Helsinki based interior architect and designer who has studied and made her career in the West Coast of United States. Prior to moving back to her native country Finland, she worked in Los Angeles at an international architect firm designing large scale commercial projects.
 
In addition to her BA degree in interior architecture, she is also a LEED accredited designer, making her an expert in environmental and energy efficient design.
 
The work of our studio is simultaneously driven by functionality and aesthetics. Our philosophy is not to clutter this world with unnecessary things but to find the hidden beauty of each space and to enhance it by creative solutions.
 
We believe that a succesful design is a 360 degree experience. To achieve the most wholesome end results possible, we create projects from conceptual ideas to service design, graphics, copy, photography and so on.
